The Grape Fruit Diet is a diet designed to jumpstart your weight loss plan. This diet is a wonderful approach to kick starting the pound shedding process while it provides the dieter with all the nutrition required. The common method employed by this diet is a 12 day crash diet plan that has been known to help individuals on this diet to lose 10 pounds within those 12 days!

10 pounds in 12 days is the reported weight you can expect to lose with the grapefruit diet, however we advise dieters not to go into extremities as crash diets may help rapid weight loss while silently creating other negative health issues as your body is pressed into adaptation. What we recommend is 10 pounds in 30 days which is good achievement by any standards.

How Does The Grapefruit Diet Work?

Weight loss is induced by the grapefruit diet primarily via loss of fluid in the body. The entire diet is about eating grapefruits prior to having your meals (meals that are 800 calories or less for the entire day). Grapefruits contain fat burning enzymes that also directly spruce up the body’s metabolism rate. The fact that grapefruits are fat-free, low in calories and low in sodium, this diet plan causes rapid weight loss minus the starvation. The grapefruit is important because it functions as a catalyst that starts the fat burning process.
